Shu-Te University Department of Leisure and Tourism Management recently celebrated a significant victory at the 2023 Germany International Tourism Culinary Competition (GTCIC), clinching an impressive haul of 7 gold, 3 silver, and 1 bronze medals. This achievement brought great pride to the university and was met with jubilant celebrations among the faculty and students, boosting the university’s international reputation in the culinary and mixology fields.
The GTCIC, a prestigious event co-organized by numerous culinary and hospitality associations from around the world, drew fierce competition with 704 contestants from 12 countries including Taiwan. The students of Shu-Te University, under the meticulous guidance of their instructors and driven by a commitment to excellence, excelled in the competition, showcasing their skills and dedication. Their outstanding performance not only earned them numerous medals but also reaffirmed Taiwan’s esteemed position in the global culinary and mixology arenas.
